Welcome to Letts Swim ISR!
Give your child the competence, confidence, and aquatic safety skills with ISR Self-Rescue.
What is ISR?
Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) is the safest and most effective provider of survival swimming lessons worldwide, teaching ISR Self-Rescue skills to children ages 6 months to 6 years old. With more than 55 years of research and experience and the highest safety standards in the industry, ISR can deliver the best survival swimming instruction in the world today. The result? Over 19 million safe and effective lessons delivered, providing children with a foundation for safety and a lifetime of fun in and around the water.
Today, our mission, “Not One More Child Drowns,” is the foundation of everything we do. ISR believes in multiple layers of protection against aquatic accidents, which include pool fences, alarms, and active adult supervision. However, traditional lines of defense break down, and the over 4,000 drowning deaths per year bear a grim testament to the fact that traditional approaches are missing a key component: the child. ISR’s core conviction is that the child is essential to a drowning prevention strategy. Our over 450,000 ISR graduates and hundreds of documented survival stories prove that children can and do save themselves. Children are curious, capable, and have an uncanny ability to overcome obstacles like pool fences; at ISR, we take that ability and teach them skills to potentially save themselves if they find themselves in the water alone.
Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I’m Lucija (Lucy) Letts — Certified ISR Instructor, lifelong swimmer, and passionate advocate for water safety.
I was born and raised in Šibenik, Croatia, where my love for the water began. I started swimming competitively in 2004, and over the course of my career, I became a Croatian national champion on 45 different occasions in various swim events — specializing in Freestyle, Individual Medley, and Backstroke.
Swimming has opened incredible doors for me throughout my career - the most significant being accepted to The Ohio State University and representing the Buckeyes. As a proud Buckeye (Go Bucks!), I competed at the highest collegiate level for four unforgettable years. One of the proudest moments of my career was helping my team win the BIG TEN Championship in 2020.
While my competitive career has wrapped up, my passion for the water has only grown — especially since becoming a mom. My daughter inspired me to continue doing what I love, but in a way that helps other families: teaching children how to be safe in the water through ISR.

Why Letts Swim ISR?
At Letts Swim ISR, my mission is to empower children with life-saving self-rescue skills through the Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) program — the most comprehensive survival swim instruction available for infants and young children.
I offer one-on-one lessons, tailored to your child’s age and needs. Lessons are short (just 10 minutes a day), but powerful. Over the course of 4–6 weeks, children learn how to roll onto their backs, float, and breathe until help arrives — all while building confidence and trust in the water.
As someone who has spent nearly two decades in and around the pool, I bring not only technical expertise, but also a deep understanding of water safety, emotional connection, and child-centered teaching.
My Promise to You
Safety First: Every lesson follows ISR’s gold-standard safety protocols and daily health checks.
Personalized Learning: No group classes — your child gets individualized instruction, every time.
Compassionate Guidance: I approach each child with patience, care, and respect for their pace.
Whether you're here to build your child’s confidence or give them the tools to survive an aquatic emergency, I’m honored to help guide that journey.
Thank you for trusting me to teach your little ones. I can’t wait to welcome you to the Letts Swim ISR family.
